Recent Updates from Friend  & Family:  Last Update September 12, 2009

I wanted to share my first of hopefully many experiances with my wife. On Saturday the 22 of August Lily & I went to Playa Esterillos, which is the the beach where Patricia & I were building our home in CR, with our friend Jeff Fertig to have a small service & release part of Patricia's ashes into the ocean. We had our service & I said some words & Lily released her mommy into the ocean, it was very nice, but also very painfull.

After the service we headed back to Playa Hermosa where we stayed & wanted to get an afternoon surf session in. I spoke with another person I knew down there & he shared his story of his sons passing & how he released his ashes in that beach & surfs with him every day & told me to get a great wave for her!

So now I go out & it's pretty big & I mentally prepare myself & see my FIRST wave,(the very first after she got in the water) it's big & perfect, I get on this great ride & chose to ride for all it's worth, the wave dumps over me & after a good thrashing I go to pull my leash & it feels a little lite??? The board was broken in half!  When I showed Greg he just said WOW SHE broke your board, he then said it's her way of letting you know she is out there with you.

Now back in the states the very next weekend I headed over to our friends Mike Columbo who ownes a shop in Seaside Park, & a friend since the beginning of our relationship, Patricia & I would rent boards off of him on our early dates together. After sharing the story with him he said the same, SHE BROKE YOUR BOARD, with a big smile saying the same, she's just letting you know she is with you out there. I guess when you're not looking for signs they come.

Patricia thank you for letting me know you are still with me. I love you & always will, your husband Roberto

It is August 29th, and still not a day goes by when you do not cross my mind and my heart. So many people stop to talk to me about the beautiful Patricia. What I remember most is how you spent your time hoping to make others healthy, happy and filled with beautiful smiles. The other night I had an old friend over for dinner and come to find he knew and loved you! My friend Don Meuller who you worked with at Martines! Here we were on a warm august night sitting on the patio and I guess you must have been there too! It is all 3 degrees of separation and you are here in all of our hearts. God Bless You Patricia, I love you with all of my heart and soul. Ogden
